Halloween Week... Terrorific Tuesday!

Edited to add:

I am SO excited to announce that my project made The Catwalk this week! Thanks to Angie Backen of Scrap in Style TV for the honor!

Just when you start to love something so much it's over...

This is the last Terrorific Tuesday of '08 and there is lots to share here!!!!

For my project, I used a clear paint can from Stampendous and turned it into an adorable (or terror-ble) little Halloween scene! Introducing...

MY LITTLE BOO BUCKET!

Materials used
Can: Stampendous
Rub ons: Royal & Langnickel
Stickers: Making Memories; Fiskars; EK Success; Mrs. Grossman's
Pen: Sharpie
Transparency: Creative Imaginations
Other: fiber; skeleton (from Tim Holtz;) pumpkin; twine

This little can is easy to make, and so cute to display!

First you need a clear paint can like this one from Stampendous...

Next, take about a yard of fiber and parcel it out into the bottom of the can...

You'll need one little LED tealight to make it light up in the dark like this...

But these little tealights come in white, and that's just not conducive to a Halloween scene! So color the tealight black with a Sharpie marker...

Next, use a cauldron sticker, like this one from EK Success' Jolee's Boutique and stick it on the tealight...

After that's done, you can place it into the can where you'd like it, then also put the skeleton in... creepy!!!

Give the little guy a pumpkin... (I used a piece of potpourri and twine for a stem,) and cut a transparency, like this one from Creative Imaginations,) to fit around the back half of the can. Adhere on the bottom where the adhesive will not show. Begin to add stickers and rub ons. These Making Memories stickers are great for this kind of project! The tree is stuck inside the can, coming out the top and is attached to both the transparency and the lid handle. The ghost is attached to the inside of the can as well...

Add some rub ons like these bugs from Royal & Langnickel to the front of the can...

Next add some Rain Dots stickers by Cloud 9 for Fiskars to the front of the can... scary!

And finally... turn on your tealight and enjoy this little guy and his surroundings for the next 3 days until you can take him out again next year!
